Community Guidelines

Last updated: 16 August 2026

Triparo is a community for travellers to share places, plan trips together and discover recommendations. These guidelines explain what's allowed, how to report problems, and what happens when the rules are broken. By using Triparo you agree to follow them.

1. Prohibited content

  • Hate speech, slurs, or content that attacks a person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
  • Threats, harassment, bullying or sexual content.
  • Spam, scams, misleading content, or repeated identical posts.
  • Illegal activity, or content that encourages harm to people, animals or property.
  • Sharing someone's private information without consent, or using Triparo to impersonate others.

Triparo uses automated text moderation as well as user reports. Content that breaks these rules may be blocked before it's published or removed afterwards.

2. Reporting

You can report a post, a comment or a user from the menu next to the content. Reports ask for a reason and optional details, are stored securely, and are reviewed by Triparo administrators. Your identity as the reporter is never shown to the person you reported. Repeat or severe reports are prioritised.

3. Blocking

You can block another user at any time. Blocking immediately hides both users' content from each other, removes any follow relationship, prevents new follow requests, and stops comments or other direct interactions. You can unblock from Profile → Privacy & sharing → Blocked accounts.

4. Consequences of abuse

  • Content may be removed and the user warned.
  • Repeat or serious violations may result in the account being blocked from interacting or suspended.
  • Where required by law, we may report activity to the relevant authorities.

5. How moderation decisions are handled

Reports are reviewed by Triparo administrators. Each report moves through statuses — Open, Under review, Actioned, or Dismissed — and every administrative action is recorded with the acting administrator and timestamp for audit. Automated moderation flags are reviewed the same way as user reports. Decisions aim to be fair and proportionate; if you believe a decision was wrong, contact support.

6. Contact

For moderation questions or to appeal a decision, use the in-app Support route. For privacy questions, see our Privacy Policy.
